The Organizing Institute for GATE 2014 is IIT Kharagpur. For GATE 2014, the examinations for all the papers will be conducted in computer based Online Examination mode in multiple sessions spread over the period from 1st February 2014 to 9th March 2014. In the computer based Online Examination, the candidates will be required to answer the questions that appear on a computer connected to a server on a Local Area Network (LAN). Answers would be recorded at a server that also keeps track of the time for the examination.
Examination for GATE 2014 will be conducted for 21 papers in 12 sessions with 2 buffer sessions as shown in the table given below. Some of the papers will have multiple sessions, while for the others there will be only one session.
